Lizandra Bailey set up Astute Legal out of a desire to be do things differently. Lizandra has over 25 years' experience providing legal advice to clients in her position as inhouse counsel for a leading insurance company and in various well known mid sized law firms in Auckland, New Zealand. She firmly believes that with the experience she has gained in these roles that she is well positioned to provide clients with the expert yet practical legal advice they need to be able to make the decisions for their businesses or personal situations. Her clients range from well known franchisors and business owners to high net worth individuals to individuals wanting to purchase a home to live in.

On 16 th August 2022 the unfair contract terms provisions in the Fair Trading Act 1986 (“the Act”) were extended to business to business contracts which are “Small Trade Contracts” which are deemed to be standard form contracts.
